A hearing aid is a battery-powered, electronic device that makes listening easier for people with a hearing loss. A hearing aid consists of a microphone, an amplifier and a receiver. The microphone picks up sounds in your acoustic environment and turns them into electronic signals. The amplifier selectively amplifies the acoustic electronic signals. The receiver is a very small speaker that changes the electric signals back to sounds and delivers the sound to the ear.

CBHS Corporate Health now provides members the option to receive medical treatment in their home when approved by their doctor as being clinically appropriate.
What does this mean?
This means that you can receive specialised treatment from a private nurse, physiotherapist and occupational therapist in the comfort of your own home. Receiving these services at home may mean your hospital stay is shortened or you may be able to avoid a hospital admission altogether. Home based care services such as meals and domestic help is also available. All these services are available at no cost to CBHS Corporate Health members who have a hospital or packaged product and the medical services to be provided are an appropriate substitute for treatment that would be fully covered in a hospital under that product.
Please contact CBHS Corporate Health to confirm if you are eligible.
