CBHS Corporate Health has partnered with Healthshare to empower our members to make the best possible health choices. The Healthshare database can help you find the right specialist near you, and let you know if they participate or have participated in CBHS Corporate Health Access Gap Cover.

How Healthshare can save you from out of pocket expenses

Healthshare lets you know if your practitioner participates in CBHS Corporate Health Access Gap Cover or has alternative gap cover schemes.

Doctors and other health specialists can choose whether or not they will participate in CBHS Corporate Health Access Gap Cover on a patient by patient basis. Medical costs will vary depending on your individual situation, so here's a handy list of questions you can ask your specialist:

• Would you treat me under CBHS Corporate Health's Access Gap Cover arrangements?
• Will I incur any personal out of pocket expenses for my treatment and if so, can you give me a written estimate of how much?
• Will any assisting doctors also use CBHS Corporate Health's Access Gap Cover?
• Are you prepared to send the bill to my fund directly, so that they can claim my Medicare benefit on my behalf and send the payment back to you?

How Healthshare works

Healthshare is a database with three focuses:

Finding a professional in your local area
You can either search for a health professional by name (e.g. Dr. Smith) or by entering an area of health and the name or postcode of your city. You'll be prompted to enter your health insurer (in this case, CBHS Corporate Health), and then Healthshare will present you with a list of all of the health specialists in your chosen area, and whether they participate in CBHS Corporate Health Access Gap Cover.

Providing answers to your health questions
Health Topics enables you to find answers to your health questions. Healthshare has several in-depth fact sheets on a variety of mental and physical health problems, as well as answers to the other Healthshare users questions. 

Answering your questions
You can submit a question on Healthshare (either with your name or anonymously) and have them answered by health practitioners or other members of the Healthshare community.
