Registration terms and conditions

This page contains the conditions of use which apply to your access to and use of the online CBHS Corporate Health Member Centre including any related transactions you make using this service.

Please read carefully through the conditions of use. Your use of the Member Centre signifies your acceptance of these conditions of use. In addition, your use of the service is conditional upon accepting the Disclaimer which applies to all CBHS Corporate Health websites and Internet services.

For the purposes of these terms and conditions, password refers to any access code or biometric information (e.g. fingerprint or face) stored on your device to login to the Member Centre.

Access to CBHS Corporate Health Member Centre

Only the Policy Holder (as defined in the Health Benefit Fund Rules of CBHS Corporate Health) is entitled to use the Member Centre. This person is responsible for the payment of contributions for a membership. The Policy Holder has the right to view, change, add or delete items relating to all persons for whom they pay contributions.

In the event that the Policy Holder allows access to any other person, CBHS Corporate Health does not accept responsibility for transactions conducted in the Member Centre. It is the responsibility of the Policy Holder to protect the security of their membership number and password.

Online Correspondence

By registering for the Member Centre the Policy Holder agrees to have their mail preference set to email and receive correspondence sent by CBHS Corporate Health electronically.

A new mail notification will be sent to the Policy Holder’s email address when new correspondence is available in the Policy Holder’s CBHS Corporate Health Mailbox.

A Policy Holder can change their mail preference at any time via the Member Centre or by contacting the CBHS Corporate Health Member Care Centre.

The Policy Holder agrees to receive electronic newsletters, promotional offers and other information related to their health insurance. The Policy Holder can choose to opt-out from receiving these communications by updating their preference on the Member Centre or using the ‘unsubscribe’ option within these communications.

Security

The self-service pages of the Member Centre are protected by 256 bit SSL encryption to help ensure the confidentiality and integrity of information passed between the CBHS Corporate Health Server and the Policy Holder’s browser.

In seeking to use the Member Centre, each Policy Holder agrees to assist in maintaining the security of their own information by protecting their membership number and password.

Each Policy Holder further agrees to:

    1. Change their password upon initial access being granted to the Member Centre;
    2. Keep their password secure and protected;
    3. Keep only one record of their password;
    4. Keep the password record in a separate place to their CBHS Corporate Health membership card;
    5. Not tell any person their password;
    6. Not allow any other person to use their password when logging into the Member Centre; and
    7. Change their password regularly.

The Policy Holder agrees to contact CBHS Corporate Health immediately when they become aware of any inappropriate use of membership details or access to their online details.

General

Information pertaining to membership made available to a Policy Holder by the Member Centre may not always be up to date. For example, Remaining limits shown (where available) do not take into account any unprocessed claims. However, changes made by a Policy Holder to their membership details will take immediate effect. For example, a Policy Holder will be immediately bound by changes made to their bank account details.

All benefits are payable in accordance with the CBHS Corporate Health Benefit Fund Rules, copies of which are available from the CBHS Corporate Health website or upon request from CBHS Corporate Health. In the event any information provided by the Member Centre is inconsistent with the Health Benefit Fund Rules, the Health Benefit Fund Rules will prevail.

CBHS Corporate Health retains the right to cancel use of the Member Centre at any time without notice if we believe loss might be caused to a Policy Holder or CBHS Corporate Health.

Privacy

CBHS Corporate Health will collect, use and deal with personal and health information in accordance with the CBHS Corporate Health Privacy Policy. This policy may be accessed on the CBHS Corporate Health website. In addition to the uses outlined in the CBHS Corporate Health Privacy Policy, this Website and the Member Centre use ‘cookies’ to provide a better service. 
A ‘cookie’ is a packet of information that allows the server to identify and interact more effectively with other computers.

When a Policy Holder uses either our Website or Member Centre, we send a ‘cookie’ that gives each computer a unique identification number. A different identification number is sent each time our site is used. ‘Cookies’ do not identify individuals, although they do identify browser type and internet service provider.

Each computer may be configured to accept all cookies, reject all cookies or notify the user when a cookie is sent. If a Policy Holder rejects all cookies, they may not be able to use either the CBHS Corporate Health Website or the Member Centre.
